Customer Charter

We create our homes for you, our customer. We want to ensure you can move in and enjoy your new Chichester Development home from the very first day. We are committed to making sure you receive a quality product and the highest standard of service from us.

  1. We make an undertaking to comply with the Consumer Code for Home Builders. A copy of the Consumer Code will be given to you at reservation. You can also view this information at www.consumercode.co.uk
  2. Our marketing, advertising and reservation information will be clear and helpful.
  3. To enable you to enjoy your experience in purchasing a new home from Chichester Developments, we will provide trained and knowledgeable staff to assist you in buying your new home. The team will provide you with information which will cover items such as kitchen layouts, the type of materials for your new home, fencing, paths etc. 
  4. If applicable, we will assist you during the selection of Standard Choices and Optional Extras for your new home.
  5. We will give you regular updates about the timing of the construction of your new home, legal completion and handover of the property.
  6. Prior to legal completion, we will demonstrate the functions and facilities of your new home.
  7. We will inform you about the Health and Safety precautions you must take when visiting your property whilst it is under construction, and then if you are living on the development whilst construction work is continuing.
  8. Our Handover Folder will be left at your property at legal completion.  This will provide guidance notes on your new home and outlines the after sales service we provide during the 2 year LABC Warranty Defect period.  Our aim is to deal with issues effectively and efficiently.
  9. We will provide you with details of who to contact if you believe that we have not satisfactorily fulfilled our Charter commitments.
